Art Dubai art fair is the leading international fair in the entire Middle East, Africa and South Asia. The now ninth edition of the Art Dubai art fair is currently underway and will run until March 21st. Taking place every year in March, the Art Dubai art fair presents a line-up of around 90 galleries from the UAE and around the world. The fair is divided into three programmes which feature Contemporary, Modern – devoted to the masters from the Middle East, Africa and South Asia; and Marker – a curated section of art spaces that focuses each year on a particular theme or geography. Born in Iran and raised in the USA, the artist focuses on bringing together the influences of Western and Eastern cultures in his painting. Often fusing elements of Persian carpets with Western modernism, the artist borrows from a wide range of sources. His mixed media paintings and collages are populated with floral motifs, geometry and religious iconography. Featured by the Green Art Gallery, Dubai, who represent a multi-generational mix of artists from the Middle East, South Asia, Turkey and beyond.
