When does a work of art defy the texts meant to capture it? How can we articulate the unsaid in a work? How do we exhibit its invisible genesis?

Green Art Gallery presents a new series of videos that tells the story of how works are shaped into existence. These are not “making of” videos, nor are they process-focused studio visits. Rather, the series invites viewers to slow down, taking the time to explore not only the recesses of the work as it evolves, but also the complex mesh of artistic inspiration. 

The inaugural video is a journey through Nazgol Ansarinia’s large-scale, site-specific work The Inverted Pool, commissioned for her first solo show at Tehran’s Argo Factory in January 2020.
