In collaboration with Sharjah Art Museum, the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts presents “Roots and Modernity: Contemporary Mediterranean Arab Art Exhibition,” featuring carefully selected artworks from the gallery’s permanent collection. This exhibition highlights artworks from 62 Arab artists in the southern and eastern Mediterranean, including North Africa, Egypt, and the Levant, displaying 86 masterpieces of drawing and painting, sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking. These regions, bridging Europe, Africa, and Asia, are recognised for their profound history and cultural, religious, and linguistic diversity.
